How does Painting Commission work?
At the beginning of the portrait commission process, clients can advise us the medium and the size of the portrait. Prior to the pandemic we were able to conduct sittings for the portrait, however , due to the current situation, we are only able to create portraits using reference photos. The photo should be higher than 300 mega pixels. The clearer the photo, the more detail we can add to the commissioned portrait. Once we have agreed on the price and size, we send the client the formal quotation which also details the time frame and payment requirements. Upon approval of the quotation, we require a 30% down payment and the remaining balance to be paid before delivery. Clients are also sent progress photos throughout the painting process so they are able to make comments and suggestions.
How much does it cost?
For Charcoal drawing: Prices varies on the size and whether you want a full body or head and shoulder only. For paintings: Prices varies on the size and whether you want it on Oil on Canvas, Acrylic on Canvas or Acrylic on Paper.
How long will it take?
Drawings or medium size paintings can be completed within 2 - 3 business weeks (excluding postage and handling). Large commission paintings sometimes will take months to finish, depending on the complexity of the subject.
How can we pay?
After contacting us and sending your preferred photo, 30% down payment is required and the remaining balance to be paid before the delivery/pick up. Details of how to pay will be sent to you. We preferred payment by Paypal as it appears safe for buyers as the platform is both secure and encrypted. Upon clearance of the down payment, we will start the painting/drawing and we will send you photos of the progress in a week or two.
Can you do larger drawing and painting?
The size of your drawing or painting can be customised to your needs. Please send us an email with your specific requirements and we will send you a quote.
Do you have other pieces already available for sale?
We have landscape, seascape and still life paintings available for sale. These are one of a kind pieces and once sold, will not be reproduced. Please browse through the SHOP section to see what pieces are currently available.
Do you frame your drawings or paintings?
Our services only include the finished drawing or painting. Drawings and paintings are not framed, but we can arrange it if you require your paintings or drawings to be framed.
What is the assurance of clients protection with regards to personal information?
We are aware of and respect our clients privacy. All the information provided to us is for our studio use only. We can assure you that your information will never be shared with other parties.
